Python challenge: Florida holds snake hunting contest
The month long contest in florida is the U.S's attempt at ridding the state of the now thriving python species. The pythons were imported as pets, but are now wild and are devouring many species of mammals, native to america. The hunt will commence from saturday the 12th, a month long hunt. Already many hunters have joined the event, playing for one of two prizes, the longest python, or the most caught.
I think this is a great Idea, and I surpose that was why this article caught my eye. To me this keeps everyone happy, except of coarse the pythons. The first news article I read (BBC) did not say anything about health risks, and was obviously thinking it was a good idea. Some other sites however, were including health risks, and emphasizing the lack of training. The style and language was the same.
