Python challenge: Florida holds snake hunting contest

The month long contest in florida is the U.S's attempt at ridding the state of the now thriving python species. The pythons were imported as pets, but are now wild and are devouring many species of mammals, native to america. The hunt will commence from saturday the 12th, a month long hunt. Already many hunters have joined the event, playing for one of two prizes, the longest python, or the most caught.
I think this is a great Idea, and I surpose that was why this article caught my eye. To me this keeps everyone happy, except of coarse the pythons. The first news article I read (BBC) did not say anything about health risks, and was obviously thinking it was a good idea. Some other sites however, were including health risks, and emphasizing the lack of training. The style and language was the same.

Enjoy

Enjoy. My word for 2012 was adapt, and I feel the need to change it, ok fine! we were told to change it but still. Though I have not 100% adapted yet, I am hoping to some time soon, and as 2013 is a long time I think I might have a better chance if focusing on a new word. So far I have hated every minute of "adapting", so I think the next step is too start to enjoy. Have fun, knowing that in two years I can go back to a world I know and be me.

Old Lady In The Tutu

Nope, your not getting an apology for not blogging lately- live with it. And NO not an "inspiration post" AK! I hate them! Yeah, not my favorite. No, I am writing about the old lady in the tutu. If your not interested then get lost I didn't ask you to read it did I? :P

Every morning My brother and I either take the public bus, or ride our bikes to school. Every morning, we meet the batty old lady in a tutu, desperate to cross the traffic lights. When the light is green, she waits, and when its red she stands there, and preses the button ten or so times, before hobbling across the road infront of all the cars, and which generally causes a commotion, (horns beeping, cars just missing each other) and quite frankly I am surprised she is still alive. It is our game in the morning to walk ahead of her when the light is green and hide in trees, or behind bins and take photos of her, or video her causing a palaver.  I am beginning to think it is in the governments interests to put an overpass on the road. Anyway, I havent seen her for a whole week now, and am wondering which hospital department she is in. Seriously injured? Intensive care? Mental health department?
So basically if anyone sees an old lady in a tutu please let me know :P

ADIOS!
